Not a Road Kill, but a road tale...Followed by me rambling
I had the closest call I think I have ever had today. I was coming back from class, and had to slam on the brakes and stop. When I stop, I look in my rear view mirror, and see this lincoln navigator barreling down on me, so I quickly pop the clutch(not exactly a popping the clutch because didn't get the rpms that high), and swerve into the other lane barely avoiding getting hit, and then watched the navigator hit the taurus that was in front of me. I thought for sure I was going to get hit, I was already thinking how am I going to get to class now.
The only other time that compares to that time, is last november when I didn't see a 90 degree turn coming(no signs), and slammed on my brakes at the last second. Then I realized there was no way I was going to make it, so I let off the brakes, and steered the car just enough to miss the woods, and the I beam fence post(the fence wasn't there) and drive safley into the field. Luckly I didn't get stuck in the field, b/c it was raining. I am soooo happy I'm not w/o kitty right now. Can't think of how I would be getting to class, and not to mention probably losing my insurance. Because when I was 17 18 and 19 I went on a real bad streak, and had quite a few wrecks. Then I realized the reason why I never had any wrecks when I was 16 and started having them after that is that I started to drive slow, and I don't pay attention as well. Well now I am a speeder almost at all times, unless cops shoot radar frequently in that area. Still I have gotten 4 tickets in the past year. One each time I go home to Tennessee(and ALL up on Signal Mtn. Damn Signal cops). I love it hear at Purdue. Cops never shoot radar except on my street, and I know that. Well a cop did see me going 90 in a 65 on the way back from Indy, but he didn't get me on radar, and I knew it. The cop tried to get me to incriminate myself, but it didn't work. This was at 4:30 AM on I-65. Here is how that conversation went... x Cop "Do you know how fast you were going." Me "No." Cop "Not a clue?" Me "Nope." Cop "Think you could say way to damn fast?"(going for reckless driving there) Me "Maybe." Cop "The speed I had you at I could arrest you for(I wasn't going that fast). Well have a nice night" Sorry about the length I have a tendency to ramble, and it is amplified by the fact that I have had numerous cups of coffee today, and some rydalin b/c I got no sleep sunday night, and 5 hours last night.
