96 firebird antifreeze problem

I have a 96 pontiac firebird and my antifreeze was low so i filled it up and now the antifreeze is coming out of my air intake. Any help on what that might be? Please and thank you...

Re: 96 firebird antifreeze problem

Has to be a 3800 with an upper plenum problem.......surprised it runs and doesn't hydrolock the engine....

If it is a 3800, where the EGR tube comes up from the lower intake though the upper plenum, that tube can degrade the surrounding plastic of the plenum....coolant circulates in that area.....so if a hole is formed, it will leak coolant into the lower intake and actually fill the depressions, to a point where it can be sucked into the cylinders and hydrolock the engine.....should not be running this engine.....coolant will be getting past your rings in the cylinders, and into your oil.....
