Hi, does anyone know the actual name of the plug under the steering wheel that you plug an OBD-II scanner into to get the service engine codes? Mine is missing pins and doesn't read any more. I need to get a new one. Thanks.

Re: Scanner plug?
what year what model?
Lot of plugs don't have all the pins. Are you sure your reader is any good? Have you tested it on another vehicle?

Re: Scanner plug?
2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Yes, the scanner works on other cars. My plug is cracked and missing pins. It needs to be replaced. Do you know the official name of this part?

I've heard it called OBD port or diagnostic port.
