Dash Gauges Erratic

I have a 1997 Silverado. While driving today my dash gauges went crazy. I've linked a video below. I noticed that when I pulled over and stopped the dash worked fine. As soon as I started driving it started up again. I ended up stopping, shut the engine off and when I went to restart the truck it would seem to start and then immediately die. I did finally get it started and everything worked fine after that.

Any thoughts where I should start looking?

I would check the ignition switch ..if the dash gauges drop out and the engine dies this is a common failure..
