Ebbro Lotus 72e

Just started this kit seems pretty nice, the plastic is a little soft. here some sub assemblies before paint.
seams took a little super glue to fill.

Re: Ebbro Lotus 72e

So I got back to work on the Lotus. I haven't worked with alclad a lot and bought a bunch a while ago I'll so give it a try.

So I painted some pieces Tamiya white primer and others Tamiya gloss black. Then sprayed both with dull aluminum.

the black looks like sheet metal and the white more cast metal in IMO.

I have seen pics of them gold or black can't decide. Leaning towards black. Seems everyone does gold.

Re: Ebbro Lotus 72e

so after thinking about it and looking at more pics, I saw that some were black and gold with silver lip and went with that.

Re: Ebbro Lotus 72e

alright I don't know what happened the decals have water spots on them none of the paint does. I thought it was bubbles first but its on the surface not under them. I cant get them off tried cleaning with water and then Windex and nothing works. I don't want to clear cause they will probably still show.

Re: Ebbro Lotus 72e

Nicely done! This kit is the last on I purchased and I am gathering research material for it, along with some rain tires. Were you able to do anything about the water spots on the decals?

Later,
Lee

No spot won't come off can't figure it out. I used micro set and micro sol maybe they caused it. Never had problems with them before.
