Toyota Crown 2008 VIP - Vlene

Hey Guys
Heres my lastest addition to my completed pile.
Aoshima GRS204 Toyota Crown with Vlene body kit. Picked this kit up from bnamodelworld.com.au just before xmas for $15AU (About $16-18US) which was super great value, came with a very nice set of 20"BBS LM wheels (which tend to sell for $22US + shipping). Great kit, well made & mostly fell together. The VIP stanced suspension is awesome. I swapped the BBS wheels for a set of C1 Models Forgiato Magnolia 20" resin wheels & tires. I also added a ducktail spoiler (in Vogue at present) & the Colour is Zero Lamborghini Girgio Avalon with Tamiya Satin Clear spray, I prefer the satin finish to the Matte Clear.

The Rears couldve been pushed a little further out, but ran into some fitting issues





Started experimenting with different backgrounds, this is Car wrapping Chrome ( FYI I'm a signwriter)

This is the Chassis, pretty basic except the suspension. Had a slight problem with the C1 tires, they sanded light grey, couldnt get them back to being rubber colour. Might try some shoe polish






The Colour is very close to a car wrapping vinyl film - Matte Dark Grey

you got that colour matched perfect, what paint did you use?

i got that same kit from them on sale, i only bought it for the wheels!
i still dont know what to use the rest of it for haha

Don't know if it will help or not, but I used ArmorAll on some really old tires of mine that had turned white and chalky from age and it seems to work really well.
