Angry help fellow sedan peeps! - my auto seat belt's stuck "open"

Hey guys..

My passenger side seat belt didn't roll back this morning when I closed the door and my seat belt light keeps blinking and the beeper keeps beeping at me I think I am gonna have to unplug the beeper, cuz it is damn annoying.

Have any of you guys had this happen? I don't have time to drive up to the "local" Honda dealer (45 miles away) to have them fix it!!!

I didn't find any fuses labeled "seat belt motor" - and I checked them and none were bad. I need to unhook my damn beeper!!

maybe they're under the hood

I wish I had my manual with me...I can't even find the relay

look on the positive battery terminal. there are two 30 amp fuses i believe that have something to do with the seatbelt system.

i just pretty much pulled all the fuses from the front row and put them back in, and when i got to the interior lights one, that was broken, so i replaced it, and they worked.

Nice...thanks dude..I'll check that out. i know they gotta be somewhere, I am just lazy...I did check every fuse under the dash, and all those are OK...i thought maybe they might be linked in with some "other" things, like the ciggy lighter is with the radio, etc... but I didn't find any bad fuses.

I wish it was stuck "closed", then it wouldn't be an issue cuz at least it wouldn't make noise...The beeping and flashing is driving me nuts

Those are the fuses for the belts - they have a big label that says "Passive L - R - 30A"...thanks dude..however, they are both good..I even swapped them and the pass. side still doesn't work

But since they are separate fuses, I also suspect they are separate relays...and if the relay is bad, I may need to swap it out with the driver's side to get it to go back and then pull it so it stays put and stops f---ing BEEPING

Exclamation Update

Aight peeps..i took the morning off yesterday to do some volunteer work at a local summer sailing camp (my other hobby is sailing), so I spent the afternoon with my trusty Honda manual and a meter in 96 deg heat.

I have narrowed it down to what appears to be a bad door sensor (like in the latch mechanism.

This stupid seat belt system is complicated enough that they shoulda just put airbags in our cars

So the long and the short is - the belt motor is OK, if I jump to the battery I can get it to close. I know also know what the little wheel/stick tool was in the trunk I never used (the manual belt mover tool) - but whenever I open the door, it opens again and beeps!! - so the solution is to unplug the motor once I get it closed, and then it only beeps when the door is open and it senses the focker ain't moving , and the kid or GF have to manually attach the belt. - no biggie...

Off to the junkyard I guess!

Re: help fellow sedan peeps! - my auto seat belt's stuck "open"

just manually put it in the closed position and unplug the fuze from the battery terminal :P its a ghetto fix but at least it stops the beeping..... it will stop bee[ing if it is all the way in the closed position
