2000 New Beetle recurring problem

My Turbo Beetle is the most fun car to drive I have ever owned. I love driving it. I hate owning it. In the past 12 months we have had to replace the brake light switch three times. When the switch goes bad, the car stays in Park. We've had the Red lemon towed to the dealer each time -- the thing is under warranty but the inconvenience and frustration factor isn't. Am I the only one with such a recurring situation or are we an army of frustrated owners?

sounds like a fuse not doing it's job but don't ask me i don't own a beatle though i woulden't mind it.......
