I've read that the Bomex body kit in the AMT supra isn't as accurate as it should be, but it can be a good start as a "core." Then you can add styrene pieces and putty to correct any errors while making it bigger to fit the Tamiya body.
Another way is to use the AMT parts as a master for vacuum forming or heat-and-smash method (or a combination of both). That will enlarge the parts by the thickness of plastic sheet. Drawback is that you'll have to manually sharpen the edges because vacuum forming tends to dull the details. |

wouldn't it just be easier to bodykit/mod the Tamiya kit?
