2007 Honda RS250RW Scot team/Dovisioso (Hasegawa)

I am a week or so into this build, my first posting on AF,
so go easy on me... First is the box shot, parts bins, and
Top Studio detail-up set. I am almost complete with the engine,
added PE boltheads, and washes to bring out the detail.
Scratchbuilt wiring and the clutch linkage spring as well.. Enjoy!

Made some progress here... I added welds to the frame and swingarm,
completed my shock in 2 parts, so I could install the sensor later..

Thanks John,
I used a product called Magic Sculpt epoxy putty to lay
Down a narrow bead, then made the weld impressions
With a tiny brass tube cut at a angle at the tip..

When building the stand. 1/4" aluminum bar stock..

This might be your first post, but you obviously know your way around a moto build! The jig you made for holding the 'in progress' frame looks pretty handy. May have to do one of those the next time I do a moto. Impressive start to this bike.

Small update...
I have completed the airbox/carbs assembly, cutting out a large section
of the housing to install the PE mesh. In reply to a few user requests, I'm posting a better view of my building board. Each aluminum post is height adjustable after measuring and drilling for the the axles, and pivot. I use a small hammer and block of wood to tap the post until it is at the right height.
Now the bike can be handled sideways, even upside down if necessary, by holding it only by the base.

I'm using a mix of Tamiya X-18 semi gloss black, water, and a drop of clear liquid dish soap, to break the surface tension and allow the wash to flow smoothly. When I'm happy with how it looks, I clearcoat it to protect it with either X-22, or a gloss lacquer. Gravity plays a role here, so I make sure the part is flat so the wash can dry evenly.
