Finished: Ferrari 360 Modena Spider (Warning large pics)

I finished the 360 Spider today. It's painted in Cobra Colors authentic Ferrari Blu Tour De France, coated in Cobra Colors clear. I highly recommend them, they were a joy to use. www.cobracolors.com however they aren't selling anything at the moment.

For the interior I flocked it with black flocking, was my first time so it wasn't entirely even, I'll learn next time. Used Tamiya Desert Yellow (XF-59 I think) instead of the tan called out by the instructions. Added seatbelt catches and seatbelts.

Painted the engine according to the reference pictures I have gathered, there were several things that were incorrect, I forget which ones though. Dechromed the wheels and sprayed them with a more realistic TS-30 and accentuated the bolts with chrome paint. Sprayed the soft top with XF-8 flat blue. Not much else, enjoy.

Very classy! Nice work you did on a very enjoyable kit! Did you notice the air intake filter boxes/tubes are silver/alum. on the Spider's? Or did you just choose black, a curiosity question, not a critique?

Argh! I did not know, all my reference pics for the engine were from the Modena except for like two, I honestly thought it was supposed to be black and Tamiya had goofed.

Silly me, should have known better

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Thumbs up Nice!

That came out very nice! Cool color combo too

Mine's Tamiya deep blue pearl, I think I also used Desert Yellow on the interior.

Great minds think alike

Absolutely stunning work Dagger ! Beutiful paint job and awesome detail on the interior. Super clean job! By the way, what do you mean by the term "flocked?"
