Replace Door Speakers

I have a 1997 Dodge Avenger ES. Has anyone replaced their door speakers in the Dodge Avenger?

It seems that the ones in there are bigger than 6 1/2. The speakers I bought have a mounting bracket but they seem to stick out too far because of the swivel tweeters.

i have a 95 that i replaced the speakers in. after removing the factory brackets and making some new holes for the new one every thing fit fine
