**Shift Lever/Cable problem '96 Sierra 1500 SL**
'96 Sierra 1500 SL. Was always hard shifting out of park. Lever fell to low when shift cable boss pushed thru holding bracket under dash. Also, there is another rod connected to shift arm which inserts into a switch. The switch was hanging. Cannot move trans shift lever by hand. Replaced cable back into bracket, but shift lever is still stiff. Engine will not start and IP indicator shows low gear. Although lever is in park position. Any ideas?
