Question

A new Corvette for US$38 000 ??!!!!!!
Heu, in France the Corvette (V8 5.7 344hp) costs from 60 000 € (US$72 000) to 75 000 € (US$90 000) in convertible "50th anniversary". Ok the rate of exchange is not good for the dollar, but that's still a big difference.
The Corvette C5 is always full loaded here (I don't know in the USA) : leather, electric seats, electronic panel on the windscreen, etc.

You think I like the prices? Nope.. heh.. Was an example in a car magazine today, the Volvo XC90 T6 is 113% more expensive here than in Sweden.. approx. $63K versus $135K.. But the problem is that if we go to sweden, we'll maybe save two or three thousand dollars, not much more, because our tax systems are so kind to us. And then the guarantees aren't as good and stuff, so we just don't bother. People import more expensive cars from germany though, ususally secondhand, but then again, often a lot of trouble and there might be a lot of risk involved...

BTW... The Corvette costs $182 000 here..

well those are the prices here.....44k for the base but i bet you can find a slightly used one for 38K

you got to be joking...182K for a covertte that is the biggest rip off i ever heard of....what it has 150% import taxes on it......you can buy a 360 modena and have quite a bit of money left....

is it my impression or prices in europe are way bigger?

bte also for 32K $ you can get a brand new G35 coupe with 6 speed manual and brebo brakes and 280 hp engine......and its 6K cheaper than that peugeout....i'll take it any time over it too

In Norway, I've already heard that it was very expensive. In Denmark too. But indeed almost 200 k$ for a Corvette..... i would live in another country : with 100 K$ you buy a little studio in Sweden and the swedish nationality and with the other 100 000 $ you buy a Modena

Neutrino : be carefull with the Euros and Dollars ! The 307 CC starts at 29k$... 3k$ less than a G35... and a G35 is not so extraordinary. Plus, the Euro is expensive now, take that in account.

A Corvette is not very expensive in the USA but that's maybe because it's American.
Let's compare for example a Toyota Celica VVtl 192 hp : 29 000 € here (US$35 000), how much in the Usa ?

Okey, my bad, Deakins.. Just read in Autofil that the Corvette costs 1 200 000kr, and multiplied that with some approx. currency rate, but you'r probably more correct. Too expensive (And cheap interior) for my taste anyways! hehe..

But people in general make more money here.

Anyway, I'll take the Renault.

Currenty, I have a LAGUNA Estate 1.8 16v (Privilège).

For the heated seats, I didn't know it could have problems with leather...
