Question 90's suburban Ignition, electrical, fuse problems?

My Suburban has been dormant for about a month because of a bad starter/cold weather. The starter was removed from the vehicle and the battery disconnected (Via the negative post) the entire month. I decided to replace the starter, hooked everything back up including the battery and I only have headlights, no other power to the vehicle. Any ideas? It did have a security system installed, but never worked since I've owned the vehicle. Please help me. I need my truck!

Did you clean the ground wire? Were any fuseable links burned on the wiring to the starter? Did you hook up all the wiring to the starter?
