Question Paint advice

Hi all,

I really need some advice regarding paints. I've almost got my current project finished and already selected my next project but I'm not sure what colors to use. My next project is the Revell/Monogram Goodwrench Service Race Truck. Don't know if anyone knows this kit but the paints are only called out by name and not by any reference I can relate to. I can fill in the obvious paints I have to use, but could someone help me with the others. (if possible in Tamiya paint)

Here goes:
Aluminium - XF16
Chevy Engine Red - ???
Flat Black - XF1
Gloss Black - X1
Gloss Light Blue - ?X14?
Gloss White - X2
Graphite Metallic - ???
Satin Black - ???
Steel - ???
Transparant Red - X27
Transparant Blue - X23

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Marcel

For steel i think that testors has it. I don't use Tamiya paints because i Don't know a store that carries it. I'll try to get the number later and see if its Testors. I donno about Chevy Engine Red and i've never seen satin black at any store even though most models I build need it. I use flat black. I donno how much help this is but I hope its some.

Here goes:
Aluminium - XF16
Chevy Engine Red - Testors should make this color in acrylic and enamel form
Flat Black - XF1
Gloss Black - X1
Gloss Light Blue - X-14 Sky Blue is a nice light blue, should work nicely
Gloss White - X2
Graphite Metallic - Sounds like gunmetal, X-10
Satin Black - This is simply another name for semi gloss black, X-18
Steel - Testors makes this in Metalizer, enamel, or (i think) acrylic form. The closest Tamiya is probably XF-56 although that is more of a magnesium.
Transparant Red - X27
Transparant Blue - X23

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Marcel [/b][/quote]
