I think you would be pleased with either of those two ..... but be advised - a radar detector is not a substitute for a good pair of observant eyes.

yeah, your best bet 70% of the time is to geep yourself from sticking out as much as possible. of course, if there's no traffic that doesn't help.

and if the cop is strobing a laser, or they are pacing you, or tracking from a helicopter... you'll be screwed anyway.

I picked V1 and am very happy with it. The arrows are just great.

its not that important they should be the last line, most helos and PD's just time the obvious guy from A-to-B, a little quick math and your detector never knew

I have the Escort 8500, i can assure you it works VERY well. Make sure you read the manual and learn how to TUNE the radar otherwise you'll get alot of falses. There's an expert mode.

I have an Escort 8500 X50 my friend has a Val1. We put them to the test and the Escort in Expert mode read Ka further away from the cop, but the Val 1 has those cool arrows. I liked the Escort because it gives you more warning, and he likes the Val1.
