Honda S-MX

After a whole day I decided to build a Honda S-MX beside the BRZ (i still need to start that...).

It's a fun easy kit I think, but I want to do something different with it.

The original wheels are very boring and totally not my taste. I hate 3 spoke wheels. So decided to take the wheellips from a Fujimi Wire wheelset and the spokes from a Daihatsu Copen modelkit. The tyres are way to wide, I need to make them smaller off course!

I wanted a very unique color for this car. I choosed Neon Pink Metallic from Zero Paints. I had this color in my stash way too long cause I never found a good model for this color. Now it's time!! I'll also use my selfmade stickerbomb decals and some other cool decals I made recently.

Re: Honda S-MX

Today I started to make the stretch tyres with the help of Mad's how to.

This is the result. I'm very pleased and will do this again on my future projects.

Re: Honda S-MX

First I primered the body:

Followed by a couple layers of gloss white.

And finally the Neon Pink Metallic. Awesome color!

And I also added the stickerbomb decals on a few bodyparts.

This morning I clearcoated it with 2K Clear.

Re: Honda S-MX

I painted the windowtrims and windows on the body.

I also painted the wheels in metallic blue and they need to be clearcoated soon.
