Monte Shell Ferrari F-40 Competizione

Hi again guys,

Here's another recently completed model, A Ferrari F40 Competizione from Tamiya.
A great kit as usual, but I did encounter similar issue with the rear hood/cowl like the regular F 40 I built previously, there is a bit of gap when the cowl is in closed position.
The color is tamiya pure white and tamiya yellow, I added a set of seat belt and weathered the exhaust pipes as well.

Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

Cheers

Re: Monte Shell Ferrari F-40 Competizione

I love this version of the F40. There are a lot of potential sources of headaches with this kit and getting that rear engine cover to line up perfectly when closed is just one of them. I can't believe you had the patience to use the red decals. I decided it was easier just to mask and paint the stripe. You also managed to add the various panel line accents very nicely, which is not easy on a white and yellow car. Did you use a photoetch set or just the parts that come with the kit?

I didn't have the patience to use the red decals as well, for me it is just more simple to do the masking and painting work rather than applying huge chunk of decals.

Thanks for the comments guys

Best Regards

Oh, and I only used the photo etched parts which came with the kit.

That was really excellent work for just what came in the kit - Iskandana
Can I suggest that for your future projects you take some WIP pictures so you can share your techniques with others on the forum?
I think many of the forum viewers can learn from you.
Thanks
John
