3" if ur gonna go turbo, 2.5 " if ur gonna N/A. as for a catback i have the greddy evo, and i highly recommend it, it sounds good and i love the style. maybe a spoon n1 axle back. you can get that for like 350 plus shipping. but if you want loud, then take the cat out and straight pipe it

Hy friend has a Tanabe Racing Medalion on his 90' CRX with a High Flow Cat, and that thing is really loud, plus, Tanabe is a good unit for performance gains too.

you want loud?
Custom make your own one with a 5" rear.
I hate loud.
Everytime I hear a loud car... I just wanna shove a cork up the exhaust.

I would suggest find a local shop that can bend pipe. Get them to bend you 2.25" pipe back from the cat, go on eBay and purchase a BOMZ Fireball EVO R Spec muffler. Get the shop to put it all together for you. Shouldn't cost more than $220 total. That's exactly what I did and it is pretty loud, but not annoyingly loud. Also, it is a very deep nice tone.
