Sub Question

hey,
ok i just picked up a 12" Type R DVC off a buddy
their rated at 300 RMS, 1000 peak for peeps that didnt know
now is it gonna be safe to run an amp pushin 300 RMS? Am i gonna risk immediate frying of my speaker?

You should be fine. You can actually push more watts than that, just not continuously. The max you can push continuously is 300.

power handling also depends on the box type
