Where To Locate Exterior Paint Code?

I'm helping out a friend. He owns a '93 Toyota Corolla and he noticed a small rust build up on his roof. He wants to remedy this with a touch up paint before it gets worst. The problem is that we can't locate the exterior color code anywhere.
Will the VIN# indicate the exterior color?

Try driver's side door (below the lock mechanism)...
it will have A/TM and below that C/?? .. the color will be a 3 digit color # i.e. 040...
