Re: 98'Monte Carlo dash lights

It shouldn't.....

Have you tried your dimmer control? With your lights on, move the dimmer control......the dash, radio, and HVAC control head should all adjust the same....

If the radio and HVAC control head react to the dimmer control but not the dash lights, could be a cluster problem....

Re: 98'Monte Carlo dash lights

if the dimmer switch don,t solve the problem=-
i went to pick-a-part and got a whole cluster just for the blubs.
almost no aftermarket place knows anything about the blubs.
my local GM dealers all said the whole cluster needs to be removed and rebulit.

i finally gave up .pep boys sells a nice little two blub outfit that plugs into the cigarette lighter and does the job nicely.
