Fujimi Diablo

Wired and plumbed engine, scratch built photoetched fuel rails and throttle linkages, scratch built ducts, rear Diablo emblem cut from Revell's snap kit, aluminum exhaust tips, detail master brakes, calipers and brake lines, Revell Diablo wheels, loads of custom made decals including those for the "Lambo Diablo" on the door sills and flocking for carpet. Painted with PPG Lambo factory matched base coat/clear coat - Diablo Rosso.

Again, Fujimi Diablo - straight from box other than the added flocking carpet and polished aluminum exhaust tips. Paint is also PPG's base coat/Clear coat Lambo Factory matched Blu Scuro Mica.

Here's my "Bull"

Just so you know I built this a long time ago (before they had digi-cams!)
so don't laugh at the lack of detail and crapy painting skills

This is Monograms Snapfit Diablo VT from a while back. I was surprised at the amount of detail despite the fact that it's a Snapfit model I think I'll take it apart and redo it. Very nice model with full engine detail and everything

Thumbs up

Lambo003, your Countach engine is a real work of art That must be one of the best detailed 1:24 scale engines I've ever seen I'd love to see some higher resolution pics of that masterpiece and of the car itself

I saved the pictures so I may use them as reference when I start with my 5000QV or 25th Anniversary Countachs

Are you going to put the engine in the car or leave it as a model of it's own?

Thanks Mikko!

That engine is going in this Countach (not this chassis though).

I've been working on this for about a year now. Basically I've taken a fujimi enthusiast model and modified or scratch built each piece. As with the coil overs below, the kits left a lot to be desired, so I made new ones. The only kit supplied parts left on them are the mounting ends.

The interior is just a mock up here but, it has seat mounts scavenged from a Fujimi BMW, Yorozuya PE Parts, Flocking for carpet and PE seat belts and hardware. The dash has ignition key and PE radio face and vents. The gauges each received its own PE bezel with clear casting resin flowed into it for glass effect.

Work continues on the engine bay and I've had to core out the existing radiator shrouds and replace the cooling fins with PE parts and fan assembly.

Now that is nears completion I'll post more pics soon . . .

Here's the left side of the engine.

Built off the Testors diecast kit, Glen Kohut's (of the International Lamborghini Registry) Christian Kastner Diablo proves to be a real eye catcher!!!

All home made graphics and first rate custom paint took well over 30 hours to complete!

Nice job Glen!!!

The real thing . . .

Hey fellas, just thought I'd post one of my Diablos. I'm new to the forum and wanted to post one of my airbrushings. It's a diecast model but dunno the scale size. Enjoy. I'd love to hear thoughts on it.
