I see a few guys on here that make some nice looking PE sheets for their builds.

I found a MicroMark PE starter set.

What is the realistic cost involved, as well as the time for each PE set. What kind of non-modeling skills are required to complete a proper PE sheet?

I have some kits that don't have PE sheets for them, but I would REALLY like some added detail.

It depends how much detail you'd like to make. I've made crude window frames masking brass with paint and used board etching solution from radio shack. Hard to control the undercut with this method so I needed to make the parts bigger than shaped to size.

Looks like a bit more than I want to tackle at the moment. I have access to the programs needed for the artwork, but not the time to learn how to use them.

Yup.... Making digital artwork is where I hit a wall too. I;m waiting for my 8yr old to learn how to use some of these programs
