My childhood home, Pics

My sister just got back from Hawaii and she took some pics of the house we all grew up in. those crackheads haven't left a single thing the same. It pains me to see my old house like this.
In the third picture you can barely see a square thing above the white fence, that was a fort that we made a long time ago.

Don't remind me about Hawaii. We were there a year ago this week (and next). I want to go back - maybe this winter

I *Heart* Hawai'i. Went there two years ago and left a piece of my heart. I learned how to surf while I was there, and realized just how much the East coast SUCKS when it comes to big waves, blue water, and awesome stuff. It's like "Hawai'i has several volcanoes"..."Umm... East coast has... some mountains!".... "Hawai'i has 12 foot barrel waves.. every hour on the hour" ... "We have ripples on the lake..."...."Hawai'i has Pearl Harbor"..."We have.. umm.. The Navy Supply Corps School!"

Yeah. I wanna go back, and then I wanna move to Cancun.

Nice pics snowie!

My only memory is the shithole airport at Honolulu enroute SYdney > Vancouver. Some asshole security guard felt my ski boots and asked ewhat they were (because he coldn't see them) I was halfway through saying 'plastic explos..' when he had a hand on his gun. 'Plastic Explosi.....ski boots' Seriously, not a fan of that place. I can dig up my 1 page post on it if you like I'm sure the rest of the island is

Oz

first off the plants they have now are awful and nothing like the ones we had. The plumeria tree in the front has been chopped down to nothing, and they got rid of the rocks that we had by that tree. The plants lining the driveway are fugly. They got rid of the bush that was under the window and next to the garage where we used to store our basketballs. And they took out all of our huge coconut trees that we had in the front yard, there used to be 3 of them.
bah, I'm done complaining for today.

I would think it to be the opposite. If you've gotta live near volcanoes, then the Hawaiian shield volcanoes are the ones you want to live by. When they erupt it is an extremely runny lava and hardly any pyroclastic flow. no big boulders flying like superman. And the flow is usually pretty docile and slow, the only things in danger are the immovable and replacable objects. And they sure are purty.

I don't have many real fears, but I'm horrified of volcanoes. Keep 'em away, please.
