HSC Fiat 124 Abarth

Hi guys, I am a newbie here.HSC Fiat 124 Abarth kit is really a great kit in this scale, although it has some shortcomings...Details are remarquably great in general but really bad in some places. The body is good in proportion and detail but the charachteristic lines on the front and rear fenders are completely missing. The seat is a Tamiya Audi Quattro shortened.
I don't get it why it says my upload from photobucket is "invalid file".It is a jpeg and smaller than 300kb.I copy the URL, paste in the "copy from URL section and it is invalide file...Can someone help?

For some reason the forum thinks you're trying to make an attachment.to the thread. You might either be copying in the wrong address or you are trying to attach it versus just pasting the code from Photobucket.

Try using the format "[img=http:________[/img]" or use the "Links to share this photo" IMG link that should appear near the photo you're trying to paste in.

Re: HSC Fiat 124 Abarth

I managed to see the pics on photobucket. It kinda of amazes me (or not), that at that stellar price, this kit still has so much imperfections. I love this car too and my deception is high when I realize I am still not able to have a decent kit of it, for quality and/or price reasons

Re: HSC Fiat 124 Abarth

Thank you Chris24 and the others for your help! I'll try again to post some images, if it doesn't work, you can see it at photobucket under the same name.
The kit is getting along ad you are right Chris24, it is quite surprising that a kit, for that price comes with few major mistakes. The kit in general is very good, well captured overall shape, nice details on the body (except the edges on the fenders), really nice interior and dashboard details, excellent and accurate photoetch parts and well printed decals. The other hand it gives an unusable seat, doorhandle, antennabase, hoodfastener, matt casted, roughly detailad lights, tiny wheels and tyres. But if you really like this car you can make it an excellent model!

Nice job, nice interior weathering ! My Model IV was half the price and I don't think it is half the quality

Re: HSC Fiat 124 Abarth

Thank you chris24! I have another old kit of this car the "Linea Rod Car LR.002". I bought it some fifteen years ago on a model show in Milano. As far as I remember it was around 70-80 euros and well worth the price. All metal pieces are chromed, nice photoetch and ok decals. The only difference that is the car represents the 1974 version, Pinto Rally Portugal winner. I'll do that kit soon as well. If you interested I can put some images of that kit on photobucket.

BTW, I am really dissapointed that I am not able to publish photos on this site.I have no clue why. I go on the "mountain" icon, copy te URL of the image on photobucket by right clicking on the image, paste it in the window, what the "mountain icon" offers, seeing it uploading , than I see the little icon showing a stylised broken image - means the upload was unsuccesfull... I am stuck. I don't know what I do wrong...
