ia ma a big fan of the accord wagon which has lots of room in the back for a system, so as soon as i get my subs from pegasus hobbies, i will be building a sound system in each car. can't wait to see yours. sounds like it is going to be nice.

i know it may sound extreme but why not try making the instal the same way as you would a real one, stretching material over the sub boxes to get the fluid finish then using a fibreglass resin / epoxy resin to make the material stiffen, then sand it down, spray it and drill for the speakers?????????????
i dunno, the resin will need to be quite thin, it will have to seep into the material to then harden, i have done this for real in several of my friends cars and it always looks great, good luck

actually you have a good ideal there. i know what you are talking about because i have installed using fiberglass and speaker grill cloth. you could use the same principle but try different materials.

you could could just build the appropiate sized boxes for the subs then just use putty to fill everything in and make it flow to whatever contour you want to achieve. clean it up, sand smooth paint and install the subs.

now ya got me thinking. i think i am going to have to start a plan and try something here. need my subs though. no sign of them in the mail yet.

take some sheet styrene and make the plates for the subs to mount in. then lay them out to the contour you want and putty everything.
