Blender Door
2008 Grand Prix, 3.8L
Manual, non-dual zone climate control I don't think that my blender door is working properly. Was driving in cold weather probably around 10 degrees and the car would not warm up, engine temp was fine (middle of range). I checked the temp from the vents and at best I was getting about 70 degrees. After about 75 miles, I started getting heat checked temp in vents and was seeing about 120 degrees. This morning no heat again. A little background... A couple of years back, I was getting a sloshiing sound from the dash, figured it was the AC not draining properly, tried to clean out the AC drain with no luck. Fiinally took it to the dealer and they found I was low on coolant, I had them flush it while they were in there. Shortly after that, I found the heat sometimes didn't work, sometimes would. This may or may not be related. How do I access the blender door in this car to make sure that it is moving properly? I figure it is either that or an obstruction in the heater core. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, John |
