Progress: Porsche GT-1

A very impressive kit by Revell. The detail on the engine is spectacular with all the turbo plumbing separate and all pieces fitting great. The body I got was slightly warped along with the chassis, but those are currently in the dehydrator being formed back to regular shape. Shown are completed engine and rear hatch.

Wow. That engine looks great!

BTW, just how badly warped was the chassis on your kit? I purchased the Champion version of the kit several years ago, and the chassis was warped beyond use. I thought that using a heat gun to basically melt it to a flat piece of wood would cure the problem, and it seemed to work, until I took the heat away and watched it re warp as it cooled. Of course, when I ordered a replacement, it was warped even worse than the original...
