Angry Fuel spilling while filling

When im refilling my 08 ram 1500 quad cab it always spills over when it gets full! It doesnt help to ease up on the nozzle when topping off. It happens without warning (the nozzle wont click off until fuel is gushing down the side of the truck. It happens at every fill up and is sooooo annoying . The problem is obviously a venting issue but the tank vent hose doesnt appear to be blocked. The vent hose seems a little small in diameter in my opinion. My brother has got the identical truck but doesnt have this issue at all. Anyone with this same problem? Any solutions pleeeeeeze?

Re: Fuel spilling while filling

Usually if you have a EVAP issue or vent issue with the fuel tank you will have issues filling the tank up. If it is filling up my first guess wouldn't be vent issue. I've seen the rollover valve in the tank stick open and cause this issue. If it is easy to get to you might take the fill tube off the tank and check the valve in the tank and see if it is stuck open. If it is i don't think you can get the valve separate from the tank. Some of the newer Dodge Durango's had a recall for this issue. The fix was to replace the tank.
