What is the best way to cut out a rectangle out of a large PE Mesh Sheet?

Thanks

I've done it with scissors.

A new blade in the Xacto will do it too if you take your time.

Depends how thick/heavy the mesh is. Tin snips, trama shears, swing arm paper cutter... But if scissors will work, they're a good option.

Re: Photo Etch Mesh Sheet?

I bought a pair of these 10 years ago and they still cut through steel sheet like warm butter. I find them great for most photo-etch including mesh and screen:

if it's very thin PE, and prone to distortion, then I will lay on LT masking first, allows being able to mark dimensions exactly, but also see if lines distort before cutting next side

Re: Photo Etch Mesh Sheet?

Thanks all, I figured cutting with scissors but wondered if a cardboard backer or tape would assist with any distortion etc.
