98 eclipse spyder will not start

I got in my car tried to start it but nothing. It has power but doesn't turn over. I'm thinking it may be the clutch switch but I have no clue where it is. I have the Haynes repair manual and all it says about the clutch switch is " locate the switch......". How stupid is that to not say where it is located. The other concern I have about a possible cause it that ever since I got the clutch replaced I have had to press on the clutch pedal very hard to get the car to start. not sure what caused that but could that have anything to do with the car not starting? Thanks for any help anyone can give.
