Uim & lim

Howdy,
Somewhere on this forum I thought I saw a list of recommended brand replacement parts for UIM & LIM gaskets. This would be for a 2000 PA Base 3.8 engine. Thanks.

Re: Uim & lim

Felpro is good. Is it just an oil leak down at the bottom of the LIM. or are the actual intake gaskets leaking. As in my case I just have an oil leak at the back of the motor on my 2003 Impala 3.4L I have a leak not sure if it is the LIM or the oil pump drive. Going to take the TB off this weekend to get a better look.

The Felpro gaskets for the Lower Intake are good OR the GM replacements which are aluminum framed.

For the upper intake, I got the APN (auto parts network) intake from ineedparts.com. It has a metal sleeve in the plastic tube where the EGR gases go. That helps distribute heat preventing hot spots and deteriorating plastic.

Also, be sure to use the Dorman metal elbows for the heater bypass tubes.
