Tamiya models

Just wondering do all tamiya models come with no motor and how can i tell if they have the motor or not? also are there any other companies that come with no motors?

I take it you mean a scale engine? The reason I ask is some Tamiya kits are made to be motorized, like an R/C car without the R/C part.

Some Tamiya kits do have engine detail, but, as far as I know, the only way to know for sure is to read the reviews or open the box. Some say "With Full Engine Detail" on the box.

Fujimi and Aoshima also make models with no engine detail (except engraved on the chassis), as do Revell, Revell AG, Airfix, Dyousha (?), and some others. Curbsides, as they are called, are rather common - seemingly the rule rather than the exception in Asia and Europe.

HTH,

Check the pictures of the models on the side of the boxes. If one of the boxes shows a see through picture that shows the engine then the model definitely has an engine.

for tamiya models, it's written on the box. if it says: "complete engine detail" or something like that, then it has an engine.
