VW T1 Panel Van Jägermeister
Hello guys,
straigth from the Revell Germany factory I got this new modelkit. I'll build this for a modelmagazine. I'm a big fan of the T1. And already built the previous Revell Samba 23 Window and now it's time for the Panel Van. ![]() The kit contains a lot of parts and they all look very nice and detailed. No flash a just a few normal sinkmarks and moldlines. Most of the parts won't be used cause they are made for the 23 Samba Bus. When I finish this model I'll end up with some extra seats, windows and 2 sets of bumpers. For the Panel Van Revell made a few new parts. I like the Jagermeister decals in this kit and thought it would be nice to use them on this model. Because the Jagermeister Van doesn't have a VW badge in front, I used Milliput to smooth it. ![]() ![]() I removed the chrome on the wheelhubs and put the wheels together cause they will be painted in one shade of green later. ![]() I also started to sand the body parts and remove the moldlines. After that I painted them with Zero Paints Grey Primer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The chassis needs to be painted Anthracite but I don't have that paint. So i mixed up some paints and think this should be ok. The last layer of paint was sprayed from a bigger distance to replicate a rougher surface. ![]() ![]() Hopefully I can paint the bodyparts soon, but I'm waiting for my order from Model-car-kit.com to arrive. Kris.

Re: VW T1 Panel Van Jägermeister
Finally my ordered Jagermeister Orange arrived so I could paint the orange areas. After that I masked it off and painted the British Racing Green.
![]() ![]() ![]() I also finished the chassis. I kept it original and just added a aluminium tube on the exhaust. The engine is also stock. I don't think I'll wheater this chassis this time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Meanwhile all the bodyparts are clearcoated and will receive the decals. When this is done I'll add more clearcoat. Kris.

Re: VW T1 Panel Van Jägermeister
WOW thanks for all the nice replies!!!
I got a bit further. A few days ago I started to add the decals. It was a lot of work but with the help of a hairdryer and some Microsol decal softener it was a lot easier. Today I clearcoated the bodyparts again to seal the decals. ![]() ![]() ![]() Tonight the clear was dry enough to be masked off and I painted the inside with semigloss grey. The other interiorparts like the floor was also painted this color. ![]() ![]() The seats were painted light grey. I added ScaleMotorsport interior pattern decals on the seats cause else they are pretty boring. After this I clearcoated them with flat clear. ![]() ![]() And a dryfit to make me feel happy ![]() ![]() ![]() Kris.

Re: VW T1 Panel Van Jägermeister
I finished the dashboard and installed it to the frontpanel.
![]() ![]() The window are placed on the doors. ![]() Handbrake, shifter and pedals on their places. ![]() ![]() And finally I started to install the bodypanels. The fittment is not really good, so I think I'll glue some doors in closed position and a few in open position. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's almost done, but I got a nice suprise if I can make it in time. Kris.

I like it! Are engine decals included in the kit? The fan belt is well done!

Re: VW T1 Panel Van Jägermeister
Really nice work, Kris. I got this kit for Christmas, so I've been interested in your WIP.
One question: Did you use the kit decal for the tan stripe between the green and orange sections, or did you paint it? |

Re: VW T1 Panel Van Jägermeister
Thanks Richard! I got a few kombi's in my displaycabinet, but in my stash there are many more of them to be build
![]() I got the last details done. I glued the panels in place and added the last small parts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There's just one thing to be done, but you'll see what it is in the next update. Kris.
