little confused

My dad once told me a maserati dealership back in the day would turn you away if you thought the interior quality was bad, or you were leaking oil. But as soon as you said you couldn't keep pace with a ferrari, they were all over that machine to get it back on the road kicking some pony tail. So why are they now gearing towards luxo-sport?
Don't get me wrong, Maserati's new stuff rocks... all of it, but I think they need to go more hard core sport (i guess that's what the MC12 is for)

Re: little confused

Current Ferrari are reliable. I know someone who bought a 456GT in 1999, he's now 280 000 km with it ! but each maintenance costs at least 6 000 EUR (USD 7 000)....

Maserati performances are good ! Don't only look at the power, look also at the quality of the car (chassis, handling, etc.) and of the engine which is a jewel on these Italian cars.

maserati

I'm not saying these cars are sub par, far from it. I just think it is interesting that a Ferrari affiliate is getting into high echelon luxury levels too.
BTW: how much is the quatraporte selling for? Bet its close to say an E55 amg, althought i like the maserati better.

Re: little confused

Maserati have a long history with the Quattroporte line, it's about 40 years old now, if I'm correct and it's in it's 5th Generation.

I've seen some in the metal, as a matter of fact our President just got an armoured one! The pictures don't do this stunning looking car justice.

Thank goodness. I dont think the world needs another cross-over suv and the italians dont need to make one.
