I dyed my grey carpet, black. It is easy to do, just get some black fabric dye (might need 2) from walmart or the supermarket. Fill something large (i used a barrel) with hot water, dump in the dye and soak the carpet according to the instructions, then just rinse off.

ok I just finished dying my carpet.... its in the drying process right now.. Damn I got home all exited to just dye it already and I didnt take before pics... well you know how the brown/tan stock carpet looks right? Now its black! :-) As soon as it stops raining I will go outside and take pics of it. Right now I have the windows open a lil and have the fan on hi set to the FLOOR setting. Thinking of adding like one more coat of a more dense mixture of the fabric dye. Less water, darker color... THANK YOU MAX! I had no idea how to do it untill you replied yesterday.. and today I went to walmart and bought 2 black fabric dye's. THANKS!

Hey, glad I could help. Definatley an improvment over the factory brown. That stuff holds good too, I had dyed mine bout 8 months ago and it hasn't faded the least bit.
