Question on photographing..

How do you guys make those all-white backgrounds for pictures of your models? I really like how it looks, nothing to distract your eyes away from the model.

What I do, is set up some paper (usually white or black) on a table which is against a wall. Then I arc the back of the paper up, and tape it against the wall to hold it in place. Reciently I have found a place which sells big sheets of thin plastic for around $6 USD each, which come in a huge range of colours, and work better than paper.

I'l post a side-on pic of how I do it, seeing as pictures are much better than words

Posterboard! I use it because it's big, cheap, and easy to find. If it gets dirty, replace it for a whopping 33 cents! I also use 8 1/2x11 sheets of cardstock I found at Wal Mart. The great thing about the card stock is that it can be printed on too!

HTH,

Tim D.

I photograph it in my white cupboard and increase the gamma/brightness on a photo editing program. Below's an example.
