1/24 Tamiya BMW 635CSi Gr.A (Original Teile)

At least one kit finished this year... Mostly OOB, only minor details added.

Re: 1/24 Tamiya BMW 635CSi Gr.A (Original Teile)

Thank you guys!

Yes, that's the Italeri road section. I modified it slightly by gluing sandpaper on top of it. The texture in the plastic was not rough enough.

Re: 1/24 Tamiya BMW 635CSi Gr.A (Original Teile)

It's a not specific version,there's no number plates...Isn't it?

the Tamiya kit lacks of the fuel tank,on the rear, bottom right, but the model is very nice.

Well done,clean and sharp.
Great work!

Alessandro

Re: 1/24 Tamiya BMW 635CSi Gr.A (Original Teile)

Thanks!

I left the race numbers off, because I didn't want to obscure the graphics. I believe the numbers are normally attached shortly before the race, so for a pre-race configuration this should be fine.

You are right about the fuel tank. I wanted to make it first, but then decided not to bother (had to finish in time for the Nordic Challenge!). The Tamiya kit is incorrect in many other details as well, but the fuel tank still gets me puzzled... The radiator they have there wouldn't fit with the fuel tank, so I suppose they modeled the plastic parts after one car (with the tank in the trunk) and the decals after another.
