Chopper time....motorcycle
Hi all,
I am in the hunt for a good bike any scale to make a chopper i read previous posts on using a amt soft tail harley kit but after work i hit up 3 hobby shops and no luck. Any idea if they still make these? Or others in current production. Also for extending forks, frame etc is there plastic tubing available? Anything I can find at a lowes or hobby shop? Thanks, John |

Here is a link to one bike. That is really the only bike that I know of that could be made into a chopper. You can use brass or aluminum tubing for the frame extensions and forks. I've been working on something like that too. I guess it's too much American Chopper.

Revell made a Fat Bob, Springer Softtail, and couple variants of the sportsters in their 1:8 Harley-Davidson lineup in the mid to late '90s.
If you can find any one of them they would make the perfect starting point. In fact I have a partially destroyed Fat Bob in my parts box that will be resurected as a chopper as soon as I can work out some time to do it.

Thanks for the info guys today I went hunting and found a Imex Fat Bob 1/12 scale. I have already started the work I also picked up misc tubing and rod. The only thing I dislike is teh size I wish it was a bit bigger to work with.
