ecu code 6 and 9 ?????????????????

my ecu is shooting out engine code 6 and 9. can you please explane in a litttle detail what the probelms could be and how i can ge it to stop shooting these codes thanks you. by the way its a dx with an si motor swap. it has mpfi any help would be appreciated

code 6 is coolant temperature, check to make sure your thermostat is working properly, and then check the sensor for the temp.

code 9 is the #1 cylinder position, your car may have jumped a tooth or 2 on the timing, check that first.
