2000 Celica GT

I'm going to inherent my dad's Celica and I want to turbo it. My brother in law said to put in a cold air intake and an open exhaust. He also said to turbo it, as long as it isn't a casted engine. So I was wondering if the Celica's engine was forged or casted. And I'd also like some opinions on what I can do to the car.

Re: 2000 Celica GT

The Celica's engine has cast internals and doesn't take to boost well.

The early 2000's celica is a wonderfully handling car for a FWD car. Focus on that.
