Speed limiter ECU wire cut

I heard that cutting a yellow/green striped (or is it vise versa?) wire on the ECU can remove the speed limiter. I only read that it was done on the 1992, and I'm wondering if it could be done on a '91, and if it's safe. Thanks.

cut it and find out. im not sure.

if not then just put the wire back together....

It should be the same being the same tranny and all.
