97 blazer front differential problem
I just completely replaced the whole front carrier minus the axles on my 97 Chevy blazer and now when I took it out for a test run the steering feels like it grabs and pulls to one side then the other or the tires are grabbing oddly, and I am confused as to why exactly. I made sure the axles were seated properly and everything was hooked up and bolted together right. Please help me.

Does it do it only 2W or 4W or both? Or going straight down road or turning or with braking ?

Re: 97 blazer front differential problem
It does it in 4 hi, 4 low (not as much though) and 2 wheel.
And it seems to do it all the time although it does it more going straight down the road. |

Re: 97 blazer front differential problem
Was this a used, complete front diff? Less the CV axles? If so, it sounds like a problem with the used unit.

Re: 97 blazer front differential problem
Yes it was a used complete front diff no axles or anything else...
I was afraid it might be that |

Re: 97 blazer front differential problem
Most places will offer a 30 day warranty on use parts like that. Also, when replacing used diff's like that, you need to be sure it has the same gear ratio as the original.
