Factory trailering plug and reverse light wire

Does the factory trailer light plug have a terminal already wired to the reverse lights on an 08 Silverado? I'm looking to put reverse lights on my trailer and want to know if I have to wire up both the truck side and trailer side before I tackle this project.

Get a test light and see f you are getting any reverse light voltage to plug with key on and transmission in reverse.
Also does the reverse lights work on truck?

Reverse lights work fine on the truck I'm just trying to wire up reverse lights on a trailer.I was hoping to get a definitive answer as to whether the factory trailer plug already has a pin with the reverse light wired in.I'll be digging out the test light too as soon as the weather is suitable and see what I've got.

Factory trailer tow wiring should be set up and wired for reverse light wire at pin A - LT/grn. wire on rear bumper plug and also on 5 wheel plug on body.

But on 4-5 year old truck you will need to get out the old test light to check things out at the plug.
And see if they are working there and get the trailer wiring and trailer plug set up and wired right.
Many things can go bad in 5 years of wear and tear and abuse.
