Gorgeous work Marcel it looks a winner and a great addition to the Audi and Merc. How did you find the build?

Re: BMW M3 DTM Spengler Revell 1:24

absolutely nice one.
Just as usual I dont like revel wheels. Its not because of you. Its because of revell. Must search something less toysh for the m3.

Great build btw.

Re: BMW M3 DTM Spengler Revell 1:24

Hi Marcel,

Very nice and clean built you did here. The bodywork looks awesome. Congratulation!
Criticism: The wheels should be black

Who will do the first transkit for the wheels? That's the only thing, which I've to criticize. Revell? Did you here the wishes for the future constructed development?

Marcel - it is funny that there are so many comments about the Revell wheels on your M3 - no one said a word about Ralf's "Glock" M3 Wheels - lol
I think your build was just fine - OOB

Very well done!
May i ask how you managed to avoid silvering decals with that black base colour? Thatīs amazing!

Yes, i had to compare both models, because i asked myself the same.
Ralf has chosen a different, more from above perspective, so it is not that obvious.
Both models are done fine. But the Revell wheels and tyres look as if they were made for a tractor.

Re: BMW M3 DTM Spengler Revell 1:24

Julian - I'm just guessing but I think Marcel sprayed a coat of "flat" or "matt" clearcoat over the whole car so as to hide the silvering effect of the decals ??? That's what I would do -

Re: BMW M3 DTM Spengler Revell 1:24

Compared to the real thing, the tyres are not too oversized. The 1:1 is not a low profile extreme.
A bigger critisism of Revell is the alignment of the chassis and body, the front wheel is set too far back in the arch, the same can be said of the Revell Audi a4 DTM.
Not a crit of this model or Marcel who has produced a stunning example.
I'm not a BMW fan but this DTM extreme bodywork could be worth a go.

Re: BMW M3 DTM Spengler Revell 1:24

Kopek - the front wheel looks okay to me - Marcel has the wheel slightly turned - it gives the appearance that the wheel is not centered.
This car rocks Marcel

Re: BMW M3 DTM Spengler Revell 1:24

Yes, I looked later at the Glock model and that seems central.
Incidentally, can this model be dis-assembled as the Audi can be stripped back to the chassis? Maybe that is why I have a fitting problem?

Great Model.
