Price for Rotors and Brake Pads Fair?
I was quoted a price of around 1k to replace all my brake pads and rotors. The drivers side front rotor is warped and the others don't look so good either according to NTB. I thought it was an ok price at the time even though I don't have the money to do it yet, but I look around and people say 500 is reasonable so I'm unsure what to make of it. The rotors look to be throw-away parts cheap and as if nothing is required to change them much, the brake pads as well? So what's up does this price make sense for a Toyota Avalon 2003 XLS?
I hate doing it because my transmission slips in reverse when going over bumps and AAMCO took it for a test drive awhile back but couldn't find anything wrong. And yet it does still slip when accelerating in reverse so I'm at a loss as to why. It bites because I just paid the 12k loan I took out off! What a joke! I'll go Nissan next time never Toyota again. Anyways what'cha guys think? And this car only has 99k miles on it |
