Mini Cooper Innocente replica
For a friend of my father I build this Imai 1/20 Mini Cooper Innocente. It was orginally a Rally version but I made it look like his real oval racer back in the 80's.
First I removed the rear en headlights and smoothed these areas. After that I made my own decals for the first time. I never did it before so I thought it was very difficult but in the end it was easier as I thought. I made the decals in Microsoft Paint and Word. Next I did was paint the model in white and mask off the areas that need the white decals. After that I made a mixture of blue and black to get it as close to the original paint. I clearcoated it and added the decals. After that I added two more layers of Zero 2K Clear and finished the other small parts. ![]() ![]() ![]() and the finished product: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He was very happy when I brought is to him. It brings back the memories and it stands in a nice cabinet in the middle of his living room! Job done ![]() Kris.
