want to buy car

YO, it's like this,I just got my full licence and I have $20,000 in my bank account. I want to buy a good used car not older than 1995. Have any ideas what cars may go for that much. Also, i don't want to spend it all in buying the car, i want to spend maybe $5000 on modifications.

HOLLA BACK !!!!

What are you looking for in a car? What needs does this car have to fill? I would be happy to answer your question if you give more info.

I want a car that is kind of fast and can beat theres in a race due to the modifications if needind. Also, it should be able to carry people around if we want to take a road trip or a trip to the cottage, jus hang out and chilll. Its gotta look good and be fast basicly.

Remember when buying a used car you might just be buying someone elses headache. For 20k you got enough cash to get a new car, why take the risk on buying a used one. Off the top of my head here is a couple new cars you could look into> Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, Ford SVT Focus, Hyundai Tiburon V6, Volkswagen GTI, Dodge SRT-4, Mazdaspeed Protege', Mini Cooper S, or Honda Civic Si all for under 20k.
